The Department of Computing and Technology was established in 2003 under the then Faculty of Science and Technology, and now under the Faculty of Engineering, Design and Technology. The department aspires to the university’s innovation centre recognized nationally and internationally in teaching and multidisciplinary research in Data Science, Information and Communication Technology ( ICT ), AND Electronics Engineering.
The Department of Computing and Technology offers both undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs ( Master of Information Technology, Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communications Science, Diploma in Information Technology and Entrepreneurship ) and technical professional development courses to meet the demand of Computing, Technology and Engineering in the continent.
